long island beer week.

“Beer, if drunk with moderation, softens the temper, cheers the spirit and promotes health”- Thomas Jefferson

I love beer. Ok, I came out and said it…I love beer.

I love the thousands of varieties, the styles, the bottles, the lables, the taste and the buzz.

Hey, if i didn’t want the buzz I’d drink non alcoholic beer and that’s just plain nasty.

So tap that keg and raise your glass my friends as the LICBF is about to kick off!

Long Island Craft Beer Week was created to raise awareness of the increasing local craft beer culture and to really promote it’s visibility at local bars, restaurants and beverage centers.

L.I.C.B.W. is a 10 day island-wide celebration of everything beer. The delicious sudz themselves, the making of beer and yes, the best part…..the consumption and enjoyment of beer. This is all possible by bringing together local breweries, restaurants and bars with beer enthusiasts to creat one hell of a week.

Now for the Good Stuff……Long Island Craft Beer Week will be filled with both fun and educational beer events, including the meet the brewer nights, beer dinners, brewery tours, cooking with beer classes, beer tastings and will be hosted by participating breweries, bars, and participating restaurants.
